Gilding the leaves

This is Sophie Popham who is a gilder, carver and restorer based in Lewes most of the time she restores antique picture frames. She has worked on the music room in Brighton Pavillion and a recent project was gilding a clock up a tower clock in Pevensey.
Here she is in my dining room gilding the lighting brackets which be installed in the church.

If you want Sophie's details contact me.

They look a bit fussy and ornate Father. I think you would have been better choosing something more contemporary. Most old buildings have modern lighting nowadays and it's very effective.

Christopher, Not at all, they are based on the orinal gasoliers.

"Old buildings have modern lighting", we will have but the modernity will be in the effect not the architectural fittings, which need to be sympathetic.

I seem to have lost her details, she was recommended by Tilleys the Brighton stonemasons.
