Gerard's other big day

I posted about Gerard's Big Day a few month ago, he had another recently.

A curate from my parish (yes, we have more than one priest!), Fr Eoin Patten was privileged to be Papal sacristan at the Bellahouston Park Mass and was interviewd on Sky News the evening prior to the Mass.

I don't think I will ever forget the mainstream channels and news channels having their TV screens silent for several minutes with the Blessed Sacrament in the monstrance filling the screen.

And what a wonderful thing for my children to see on mainstream TV, our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament with the Pope kneeling before Him leading a huge crowd in adoration.

Highlight of the trip for me.

Wonderful. Two of our Altar Servers (St. Hilda's Stevenage) were serving at Cofton Park on Sunday. Great privilege and we're proud of them.
