Thank you so much for putting this on. I had read about this young lad but had not had the opportunity of hearing him sing. i do hope his success gives him the confidence he so badly needs.

After Yankee Stadium I am not sure I can take Simon Cowell but we shall cut this little limey kid a break as we have been programmed to do so by the clip.

Having said all that, Cowell's reputation and wealth are based on his "telling it as it is" - something Americans respect. Something the Catholic Church, in general, has failed to grasp in recent decades.

Beautiful voice - I hope he does well.

Not sure if he's a Catholic or not. I read in the paper that he is a chorister at Carlisle (Anglican) Cathedral.

Catholics taught the Anglicans to sing Tom so it doesn't really matter ;)

not really quite sure what this has to do with being Catholic - it is written after Andrew Lloyd Webber after all. But, thank you for advertising an ITV programme.. Britain's got talent. Saturday 8.05pm also available on itv.com....

'Simon Cowall fan' says he does not know what the 'Pie Jesu' has to do with being Catholic.

Surely the words come from the 'Dies Irae'? Many musicians have put them to music over the centuries. ALW did not write the words!
