If you are concerned then contact HFEA

The HFEA are running a consultation on the creation of animal / human hybrids for research. Details of the consultation are on the website: http://www.hfea.gov.uk/hybrids

There is also a very short online questionnaire. It only takes 5 minutes to complete. If you would like to complete the questionnaire please go to: http://hybrids.hfea.gov.uk/hybrids/

You can complete the questionnaire in a personal capacity. You do not need to be a representative of any organisation.

My comments were

This is going to be abused. Some researchers' curiosity will get the better of them and they will want to allow these entities to grow on for another week... and another... until it is 25 or so weeks old. The temptation would be irresistible. Who would not want to see what the Thing would turn out like.

But if you are commenting, don't copy this or they will count them all as one objection.

Gosh it took me longer than 10 minutes to answer, I could have written a thesis. Thank you for providing the link for this, Father.
