I can't be the only one that thinks the top left just looks silly! That's not to say traddy nuns's habits look silly - but some simplification was indeed sensible

The top two look like happy Bugs Bunny and sad Bugs Bunny. Nuns used to have a tendency to go deaf in some orders because of the accumulation of starch in their ears.
But such a shame to throw the baby out with the bathwater!
